This is what I did to legally make tons of gold in WoW...

I just retired from WoW so I'm going to reveal some gold making tips.

The best way to make gold in WoW without getting banned is to use Luke's Gold Guide. I highly recommend this guide if you're a die hard WoW gamer like I was.

Here are my free secrets to making maximum WoW gold per hour.

• Learn what items make the most gold and know the best area to find them. You can ask your guild members, follow gold farmers around, wander around, or just get a gold guide.

• Pick up a good profession. Gathering professions are the easiest to make gold with. I prefer mining and herbalism, though many people do well with skinning. If you use your professions strategically you can make a lot of gold. Gathering professions are good for low to mid level characters, while the other professions are better for higher levels.

• Master the auction house. Know your markets and know when to buy and when to sell. The auction house may seem basic, but there are a lot of tricks and strategies you can apply that can sometimes double or more your gold intake. Luke has a whole section dedicated to mastering every aspect of the auction house, plus some AH secrets.

• Develop an effective gold farming route with the least amount of downtime possible. Try killing two birds with one stone. For an example you could develop a route that has a lot of good drops in an area that also has the mines or herbs you need for your profession leveling.

• Max out your backpacks so you can carry as much as possible. This will allow you to make less trips to the auction house and therefore increase your gold per hour.

• Make friends with rich players. You'd be surprised at how many of them like to act as mentors. Eventually you can get them to reveal their gold making secrets.

Honestly though, if you want to know everything about making gold in WoW you should invest in a professional gold guide. It will put you leagues ahead of even the veteran players.
